Notice – Live Rig for 2017

It’s been 5 years since I had a real live set up.

There are many reasons why this hasn’t happened for so long, primarily personal, in that all of the breeding I have been doing has meant that priorities have been elsewhere, especially at weekends.

Also, stupidly, for one reason or another this has meant that most of my productions in recent times have literally been written in a shed (not even that really) with little gear (because I live in deprived area and I can’t leave gear hanging around so have to constantly re-set up).

As people that know me well, they’ll tell you that I’ve had a pretty messy, scary period in my life also which I hope is now nailed to a board and burned somewhere.

All of this has lead to prioritising penning tracks just to keep in touch with the scene, rather than building something that will travel.

In the meantime, I’ve been happy to see tracks supported and it was great to be included in an article in DJ mag about electro.  This, in spite of the fact that the article, I suspect,  irritated certain people in the scene who could see I wasn’t particularly active in either live gigs or working with labels.  This has stuck with me and to a large degree they were right.  I wasn’t putting the effort in, or perhaps sometimes output was a bit dodgy, I get that.

I should say that, in knowing that I couldn’t fully participate in the scene, it has been an effort to keep in touch and I’ve been doing the best I could.  I can’t thank anybody enough who has supported by buying music through Bandcamp or simply liking a mix on soundcloud.  This helps an artist keep the faith in what they are doing.

So now that the horizon is starting to clear a bit I now have a rig.  It’s time to start looking for gigs.  It would be great to finally get out there and meet the people who have supported over the years.

I’ll have a preview up as Decembers Public Broadcasting System.
